History of the HLSA of the Philippines

The Harvard Law School Alumni Association of the Philippines (HLSAAP) was founded in 2011 as a way for HLS alumni of Filipino descent to band together and stay updated on events and happenings relating to their Alma Mater.

Twelve of the brightest legal minds, which include former Solicitor General Estelito Mendoza and former Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona, came together to incorporate the HLSAAP with the common goal of fostering relationships, celebrating achievements, and inspiring future generations of Filipinos to embark on their own Harvard journey.

Currently the HLSAAP is engaged in hosting social events such as send-offs and receptions which aim to build relationships and networks among members of the Harvard Law School community in the Philippines. The HLSAAP is also active in holding lecture events on diverse topics relating to the Philippines and the world.
